Nakul is short for Nakula.

Nakula was one of the Pandavas in the “Mahabharata”, one of the two Indian epics.

The Pandava, are the five sons of King Pandu.

Etymology of the name is “he who is most handsome”.

Sources also mention Nakul’s meaning to be “mongoose”.
