Absalom

Of Hebrew origin.

From the Hebrew name “Avshalóm”, meaning “my father is peace”.

According to the Old Testament, Absalom was the third son of King David.

Rainer Maria Rilke wrote the poem “Absalom Abfall” and William Faulkner a novel entitled “Absalom, Absalom!”.

Other forms of the name are Absolon, Axel, Axl, Absalón.
